“Life as a Pan-African Focussed Entrepreneur”

Impact means many things to many people. However, most would probably agree that it is a concept that is built on a notion of giving.

Giving of time, efforts, resources, attention and so forth.

Sustained efforts that leverage notions of efficiency and timeliness would also play into what we define as impact.

On today’s show, we have a guest that in my mind epitomizes all of the above when it comes to this word, ‘impact’.

As you will soon find out, his story, efforts and pan-African businesses are all singularly aligned to empower others and deliver results.

Introducing

Joshua Ogbonnia is a pan-African visionary leader and serial entrepreneur who is keyed in on advancing the causes of sustainable progress through education, community development, tech solutions as well as agricultural solutions.

He believes that sustainable education is at the core of community development and nation building.

With over a decade of experience in the formal education sector, from being a teacher to a consultant, Joshua saw a desperate need for innovation, inclusion, and collaboration within the education sector.

Professional Background

In 2020, all of this lead to, Joshua founding and becoming the Chief Vision Officer at ‘E Skool Now Group’ an Education, Tech Solutions, and Advisory Group of Companies.

This pan-African enterprise is divided into three broad organizations:

E-Skool Now

A Tech Solutions and Advisory company which builds mobile and web applications, as well as offering a wide range of digital services such as website development and premium branding. The company received an award for being one of the top 20 global websites of 2022 by mega hosting provider Bluehost.

Tech Skool

An online school of technology and entrepreneurship education for Kids, Teens, and Young Adults with a wide range of hands-on accelerated tech courses to methodically develop and position tech talents from Africa, for Africa, and beyond.

E Teacher Network

A non-profit dedicated to connecting education, promoting collaboration, and inclusion, and providing superior knowledge, resources, and network to a global community of educators.

With close to a decade of experience and educational background in Aquaculture and Fisheries, Joshua also facilitates multiple projects in the agricultural value chain and sits on the board of several Agric-Tech startups.

Community + Biz Outreach

Outside of his wide and varied responsibilities as a serial entrepreneur, Joshua dedicates his time and resources to several communities, business incubation, and acceleration programs. Amongst other things, he speaks about entrepreneurship, education, tech, and purposeful leadership.

Reasons to Listen

Outside of this being a pan-African centric conversation on entrepreneurship, the talk highlights many broad entrepreneurial keys to achieving success. Specifically notions of passion and purpose driven initiatives are discussed as they relate to the educational sector.

This will be a talk worth listening to for:

  • those considering business ideas within the education space
  • those looking for business and or personal inspiration by way of exploring another person’s journey
  • those curious to know what skills and experiences are needed to run multiple organizations at once

  • a nuanced look at entrepreneurship
  • why seeking out opportunities as an entrepreneur to give back should be a goal no matter the stage of one’s development
