Katrina Stephenson is a Registered Nurse and the founder and CEO of Nurse 2 Nurse Peer Support – a Canadian non-profit organization focussed on providing peer support services for those within nursing.

Over the last 19 years, Katrina has focused the majority of her nursing career in the harm reduction field and caring for individuals challenged by Concurrent Disorders; both mental health and substance use challenges, including trauma.

Mental Health Advocacy

Through her own experiences in compassionately caring for both her patients’ traumas and her own work-related occupational nursing traumatic stress, she endeavoured to create an organization to help nurses across the country manage their mental health.

Collaborative Efforts

In providing safe and holistic care to those within nursing, her and her organization work with government bodies, insurance agencies, employers, regulatory bodies, unions and peers in order to create psychologically safe workplaces.

Purpose Driven Work

As a Harm Reduction Nurse, Katrina believes it is essential to understand and care for people with mental health and substance use challenges in such a way to reduces stigma and discrimination.
