-Life as an Ocean Plastics Recycling Champion-

Tom Jackson is the founder of Honest Ocean, a company on a mission to supply brands and manufacturers with ocean-saved recycled plastic, while empowering local communities and families through unique community engagement programs.

Experience + Passion

With a background in manufacturing, Tom has always been interested in the sourcing and collection of materials that went into making products. Combined with spending the last ten years of his life on the ocean and witnessing the scale of problem plastic pollution represents, he knew he wanted to see change.

This interest led Tom to look into how he could help create a sustainable waste management supply chain across Indonesia.

And with that, Honest Ocean was born.

South East Asia

In recognition that certain geographic regions of the world are more adversely affected by ocean plastics waste than others, Tom established his company within Indonesia.

Aside from the amount of this waste washing up on shores there, the country itself has more or less allowed itself to become a willing plastic dumping ground for many western and Asian nations for the past twenty years.

Making a Difference

Tom and his team have concentrated on creating a closed loop 360 plastic supply chain, turning this plastic waste into a commodity, whilst also educating and empowering local communities to help in the fight against this ocean plastics waste problem.
