-Passionate about helping young people find their professional calling-

-Life as a Wellness Advocate-

For 27 years, Mathew Blades entertained audiences in the broadcast industry. However, in December of 2021, he decided to leave his successful radio show. He did so to focus on himself, on his own well being.

Purposeful Work

What he learned along the way spurred him on to pivot and focus the next chapter of this professional life on helping others via emotional training, speaking engagements and outreach.

Digital Outreach

He accomplishes much of the above by way of a podcast series he created the ‘Learn From People Who Lived It.’ He also hosts another podcast called ‘I NEEDED THAT’, with Chris Powell. This global digital outreach engages audiences on a real, grounded, and inspirational level.

Mathew encourages audiences everywhere to find a self-care strategy and lean into something he calls being a transitional character.

Other Endeavours

He is also the founder of ‘Title 1 Tech’ which serves Title 1 schools. He’s also a 17-year youth hockey coach and created “The Mental Game” a workshop for youth athletes with friend and USA Olympian Lyndsey Fry.

His talks have been well received at Banner Health, Kyrene School District, Willmeng Construction, Panera Bread, The Social Television Network, Keller Williams, and the Durango Juvenile Detention Facility.

A Memorable Quote the Episode:

On helping educators manage their lives and careers:

“I experienced burnout firsthand. I lived it. I know exactly what they are feeling and it’s just an awful place to put yourself, but what I also understand now is that burnout is one hundred percent preventable if you take care of yourself. That is the key. You have to take care of yourself.”
